Seahawks' Thurmond faces four-game suspension
RENTON, WA--The Seahawks secondary, already without injured cornerback Brandon Browner, appears to have taken another hit. Seahawks starting corner, Walter Thurmond is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
This is just the latest in a long line of hits the team has taken under the league’s substance-abuse policy. Bruce Irvin sat out the first four games on 2013, while Browner and Richard Sherman each was hit with a four-game suspension in 2012 on account of Adderall use (Sherman’s punishment was overturned on appeal).
The Seahawks are coming off their bye week and will take on the 9-2 New Orleans Saints in a Monday night affair on December 2nd at CenturyLink Field.
