Seattle man accused of trying to lure a 13-year old into his car
SEATTLE - A 31-year old Seattle man is behind bars, accused of attempting to lure a 13-year old girl into his car.
Police say on Tuesday night, the girl was walking home from the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls club in Seattle when she noticed the suspect leering at her from a car.
The suspect followed the girl along the street, honking his horn at her and flashing the car's lights. The suspect also spoke to the girl, saying "Hey pretty thing, come here," and "Come over here, I don't bite."
The girl ran to a neighbor's apartment and told her what happened, and the neighbor called 911.
When police arrived, the suspect was still sitting in his car outside the apartment complex.
When police asked him what he was doing, he said he was there to visit a friend, but was slow to tell police who that friend was, and didn't appear to know where his friend lived in the complex.
