Seattle moms reveal big plan to ensure little girls can 'explore the universe or dig for dinosaurs'
Seattle mom`s design a new type of `girls clothes` for their daughters
The founders of BuddingSTEM have taken their idea to Kickstarter with the goal of launching a new clothing line for girls.
SEATTLE -- Two Seattle moms want to change the world for their daughters.
At the very least Jennifer Muhm and Malorie Catchpole want to give little girl’s more clothing options.
“We tell our girls they can do anything. Be anything,” wrote the moms on Kickstarter. “So, why is it so hard to find clothes for young girls who want to explore the universe or dig for dinosaurs?”
The two decided to do something about that problem and in the last year they have launched BuddingSTEM.
“With a complete line of girls' clothing celebrating space, dinosaurs, and other things all kids love,” wrote the moms. “We've spent the last year designing our own prints and working with a textile designer to bring them to life. We have manufacturers ready to go in Los Angeles and Seattle. We are ready to start production as soon as we are funded.”
The pair wants to raise $45,000 over the next month. So far they’ve raised about half that with 307 backers pledging more than $21,000.
