SEE IT: Newborn moose roams wildlife park with mom
EATONVILLE, Wash. -- Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is showing off its first moose calf born in 15 years.
The calf, born July 17, is healthy and has been seen nursing regularly. The moose are living in the park's Free Roaming Area where some visitors have spotted the calf.
Staff members say they are not sure what gender the calf is because they have not been able to get close enough to tell.
Keeprs say the newborn is about 30 pounds and appears to be gaining strength each day.
The calf's mother Connie and father Ellis are both 3-years-old.
