Sheriff's office looking to identify woman possibly killed, buried in Burien

SEATTLE -- Investigators hope the public can identify or locate an unidentified woman who may have been killed earlier this year.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, detectives received credible information that a woman was killed in March at a house in the 12600 block of 14th Avenue South in Burien, and later buried on the property. Major Crimes unit searched the property last week, but no human remains were found.

The woman is described as being a white female, or possible part Native American. She is in her 20s, has an average build and has dark hair that is possibly died brown. Her name is Shelly, detectives believe, but she also may go by the name "Marshmallow."

Investigators said she was living a "high risk" lifestyle, and may have been a transient.
