Shooting at Pennsylvania church leaves one dead, suspect in custody
NORTH WALES, Pa. — Authorities say a suspect is in custody after a shooting in the area of a suburban Philadelphia church that sent one person to a hospital.
Emergency dispatchers in Montgomery County said the gunfire was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of the Keystone Fellowship Church, an evangelistic Bible-teaching church, in North Wales.
Police said one suspect was in custody. Officers weren't searching for anyone else and reported the scene was secured.
One person was taken to a hospital, but the extent of the victim's injuries weren't immediately clear.
Officials haven't confirmed whether the shooting occurred inside or outside of the church. Keystone Fellowship listed an 11 a.m. Sunday service at that location.
