BOTHELL, Wash. - An investigation is underway after a shooting involving police in Bothell early Tuesday morning.
FOX 13's Shawn Chitnis is at the scene of the investigation at a 7-Eleven near the intersection of Bothell-Everett Highway and where 208th Street/Maltby Road meet.
The parking lot of the gas station is blocked off, with evidence markers visible in parking spots. As of 5:30 a.m. there were multiple agencies at the scene. FOX 13 has learned that the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is managing the scene.

Bothell police shooting: Gunfire exchanged after traffic stop
A Bothell Police traffic stop at a 7-Eleven escalated early Tuesday morning when a passenger allegedly brandished a firearm, rammed a patrol car, and exchanged gunfire with officers.

According to a press release, the incident began just after 12:20 a.m. when a Bothell police officer spotted a vehicle make an illegal U-turn in the 20800 block of Bothell-Everett Highway. The vehicle pulled into the 7-Eleven parking lot, where the officer pulled up behind it. At that point, the driver immediately got out of the car and fled the scene on foot.
As another occupant slid into the driver's seat, a passenger pointed a firearm at the approaching officer. The Bothell officer fired multiple rounds toward the vehicle. The suspects then shifted the car into reverse, rammed the officer's patrol cruiser and sped away from the scene.
About an hour later, the suspect vehicle arrived at St. Anne Hospital in Burien, where a 19-year-old man was dropped off with multiple gunshot wounds. That individual was later taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he remains in stable condition.
Police later found the suspect vehicle abandoned in Burien, which has since been seized as evidence.
Authorities say the original driver and the remaining passengers have not yet been located.
