Six hospitalized after car hits moose
Six people are recovering in the hospital after a family driving on Highway 395 in eastern Washington slammed into a moose.
According to KAYU FOX 28, the family's red, 1995 Buick LeSabre was northbound on the highway Monday night, about 30 miles south of Colville, when it hit a moose in the roadway.
Medics transported two adults and three of the children to St. Joseph's Hospital in Spokane.
A nine-year-old boy's injuries were so severe, he had to be airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
Troopers said the victims ranged from age nine to 46.
Police say everyone in the car was wearing a seatbelt and drugs and alcohol were not involved.
