Sketch released of man suspected in attempted abduction in Shoreline
SEATTLE -- On Monday, a 16-year-old girl reported that a man attempted to abduct her as she was walking to school. She told police she had exited a bus at the Fred Meyer on 183rd Street and Aurora Avenue in Shoreline when the man approached her. Thursday, police released a sketch of the suspect based on the girl's description of him.
The girl told police that the man was driving an older, blue 4-door sedan which he left running when he tried to grab her. She was able to break free and ran toward the Shorewood High School.
An unknown female adult picked up the girl's backpack and got it back to the victim. Police are hoping to talk to the woman about the incident.
The suspect is described at a white male who is approximately 60 years old with white hair and he is balding. He had a mustaches and two to three days of beard growth. He is about 6-feet, 3-inches tall and 201 pounds and was wearing a long-sleeve blue dress shirt and khaki dress pants.
