Small plane crashes in Grant County, 1 on ground injured

QUINCY, Wash. (AP) — Authorities in Grant County say a small plane crashed into a yard as it was trying to take off, striking a person who was on the ground.

The Grant County sheriff's office says the pilot was OK, but the person who was hit by the plane was being treated for minor injuries.

The plane was trying to take off from a roadway near Quincy around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday when it failed to get off the ground and crashed into a yard.
