SPD: Confrontation between ex-boyfriends leaves one shot, one arrested

SEATTLE -- One man was injured and another arrested early Sunday after an encounter between a woman's ex-boyfriends on Capitol Hill.

Seattle Police say that a 24-year-old man saw his former girlfriend with another man, also an ex-boyfriend of the woman, just before 2 a.m. at 11th and E. Pike.

After an argument between the two men, the 24-year-old pulled out a gun and shot numerous times, hitting the man in the arm at least once.

The suspect later turned himself in at SPD's North Precinct, where he was arrested and booked for assault. He also has a handgun that police believe was used in the shooting, police said.

Police believe that the shooting was connected with an earlier incident in Snohomish County, as the suspect may be facing more charges there.

The injured man was taken to Harborview for treatment, and his wounds are considered non-life threatening.
