SPD searching for gang of strong-arm robbers
SEATTLE -- Seattle police are on the hunt for a gang of armed robbers accused of a city-wide crime spree.
Authorities say the group is responsible for at least 10 stickups. Police say each crime is increasingly more violent. In one incident, two suspects reportedly forced a man to drive to Renton, where he was pistol-whipped. Cops say the victim's tooth was knocked out.
The group is believed to be behind robberies in West Seattle, Beacon Hill, North Seattle, Holly Park, Capitol Hill, and the Central District.
At this point police have a vague description of the suspects. They are believed to be of East African or Somali descent. They may drive a green Toyota Camry.
If you have any information on these crimes, call the Seattle Police Department.
