Surprised? Coug fans drink bar out of beer
AUBURN, Ala. -- Cougar fans everywhere rejoice: Your beer-chugging prowess has been nationally recognized.
Washington State University fans reportedly drank all the beer at Quixote's Bar and Grill in Auburn over the weekend before the Cougars lost to the Auburn Tigers 31-24 in the opening game of the team's football season.
According to Cougcenter.com, the bartender at Quixote's confirmed the news Sunday.
"Your fans drank us completely out of beer," Brooke the bartender told Cougcenter.com. "We are going to have to close the place down."
The bar closed three hours early Friday night.
As a University of Washington graduate, the author of this article politely declined to offer readers a joke degrading WSU grads and their propensity for heavy drinking. The joke would probably have involved too many big words for Cougs, anyway. (Kidding!)
