Suspicious death of 80-year-old woman leads to arrest of her daughter

Bothell police arrested a 42-year-old woman early Saturday morning after they found the body of her 80-year-old mother inside a mobile home, Capt. Denise Langford said.

About 5 a.m., police responded to a 911 call in the 3300 block of 228th Street SE in Bothell. When they arrived, a 42-year old woman was outside the mobile home. Police found the woman's behavior and statements to be suspicious, and entered the home to check on the status of anyone else who might be inside.

Inside the home, officers found the woman's 80-year-old mother — she had severe traumatic injuries, police said.

Medics arrived to treat the elderly woman however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The daughter was taken into custody and detectives are in the process of obtaining a search warrant to investigate and process the scene.

The home is located in a senior mobile home park and other residents said that there are strict rules in place that you must be 55 years or older to live in the park. Residents who spoke to Q12 FOX News said they did not know the victim or her daughter.
