Teenage girl killed in crash in Olympia

OLYMPIA -- A 17-year-old girl was killed Monday morning in Olympia when a car she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree stump.

The collision occurred in the 10500 block of Summit Lake Road early Monday morning. According to Washington State Patrol, the girl's car left the roadway and struck a tree. The victim was the lone occupant in the car, and no other vehicles were involved.

The girl's name has not yet been released.
