EVERETT  --  "I've been here 36 years. We've had a fire, a flood, a car run into the building, but this is the first time I can say we have had some maliciousness," says dentist Brent Kellogg.

Over the weekend, Everett police say thieves got away with nearly all the copper piping from underneath Silver Lake Dental Arts, leaving the facility without water.

And just like the empty pipes, the waiting room is one patient-less cavity.

"What this does is, it takes 220 patients out of our schedule, probably about $60,000 in revenue."

Dr. Kellogg says that including damages, he's looking at $90,000 in total losses.

Instead of polishing teeth, he's grinding his own.

"It's makes me feel like I wanna get a hold of the neck of the guy who's buying the copper and ring the daylights out of him," says Kellogg.

Investigators say this is the most costly single commercial copper theft in Everett to date, following a rash of metal thefts in March affecting four other businesses in this very area.

While his  staff of 15 scramble to re-book, Kellogg is rethinking his plans down the pipe.

"I question the neighborhood actually. I question the safety of the neighborhood really for the very first time," says Kellogg.

He plans to install working security cameras around the facility.

The office should be up and running again in the next two weeks.
