Traffic Alert: Get ready for weeks of lane closures on Denny Way in Seattle
SEATTLE -- Drivers are bracing for backups and delays on a busy street into downtown. A section of Denny Way from Stewart Street to Minor Avenue North will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the next five weeks.
Crews are working on a new Seattle City Light substation in the neighborhood. They will be constructing utilities on Denny Way right next to the substation.
Drivers can still use Yale Avenue to access I-5, but expect delays. Seattle City Light is also encouraging drivers to avoid the Stewart Street exit from southbound I-5.
