Traffic stop snags Operation 'Shiny Penny' fugitive, Brandy McGregor

brandyFUGITIVE CAPTURED April 3, 2013 -- Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers say female fugitive, Brandy McGregor, was arrested last week during a traffic stop. WANTED IN LAKEWOOD March 1, 2013 -- Lakewood police, and the state's Auto Crimes Enforcement Task Force, called it Operation ‘Shiny Penny’ --  a six-month sting taking down more than two dozen suspects accused in a major auto theft ring. The task force setup a storefront where undercover cops bought ripped-off rides, and other stolen stuff from the bad guys -- and girls -- like this female fugitive who’s still wanted in the sting. Brandy McGregor is already a convicted felon, and now, she's wanted in that sting setup in Lakewood. “Brandy is wanted,” says Lakewood Lt. Chris Lawler. “She would actually bring the stolen cars to the storefront and sell them to undercover detectives. So, she's wanted for trafficking stolen property and possession of stolen vehicles. She's on the run right now. They didn't get her in the initial sweep.” One of her felony convictions is for illegally having a gun -- adding much more danger to her than just stealing cars. Here are the details on BRANDY MCGREGOR:
