Two more fires overnight as police search for serial arsonist in Auburn
AUBURN, Wash. -- Police in Auburn have confirmed that two overnight fires appear to be the work of an arsonist.
The neighborhood has been plagued by what appears to be a serial arsonist.
One of those fires was at a detached garage of a duplex on the 3100 block of M Drive.
The second fire was just a pile of cardboard.
The overnight fires happened within 30 minutes of each other. Investigators say eleven homes have been intentionally set on fire in recent months in Auburn.
Community members just had a meeting on the problem last night. While detectives hold daily briefings on the hunt for the arsonist, neighbors just want more communication.
Auburn officials say they don't have a suspect for any of the recent fires, but they're asking everyone to stay vigilant and report anything you see.
