Two people injured in deputy-involved shooting



ROY, Wash. -- A pursuit that started in Thurston County ended with a deputy-involved shooting early Friday morning on SR 507 in Roy.

Authorities say a man and a woman were hurt but did not specify how they were injured. Both people, who were inside the green Honda Civic, were taken to the hospital.

A witness told Q13 FOX News one of the two had blood on their face when they were transported.

Two bullet holes could be seen in the car -- one in the windshield and another in the trunk.

The pursuit ended around 1 a.m. and investigators expected to remain on scene for hours collecting evidence. No officers were injured.

SR 507 was expected to reopen sometime before noon.
