Unger to return to Seahawks' offensive line this week
RENTON -- Seahawks' Pro-Bowl Center Max Unger should be able to start in Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans at CenturyLink Field, the Seattle Times reports, bringing some stability back to an embattled offensive line.
According to the Times, Unger will take his spot back from Lemuel Jeanpierre, the back-up filling in for Unger, who suffered a triceps injury against Jacksonville on Sept. 22.
Along with Unger, starting offensive linemen Russell Okung and Breno Giacomini have also missed the last two starts, perhaps contributing to Seattle's dismal statistic of 5-for-26 conversions on third down. Seattle has made just 20 of 65 third downs this season, ranking 27th among 32 NFL teams.
Okung and Giacomini are expected to be out for at least two more weeks.
Seattle looks to recover after the team's 34-28 loss against the Colts last Sunday. The Hawks are 4-1 and sit atop the NFC West Division.
