US 101 reopens after mudslide near Hoodsport

MASON COUNTY -- Transportation crews reopened a portion of U.S. 101 that was closed for several hours because of a mudslide Saturday.

WSDOT closed the road at milepost 330, north of Hoodsport, shortly before 6 a.m.

All lanes reopened just before 3 p.m.

Authorities said a semi truck got caught in the slide, but no injuries were reported.
