Veteran NFL writer picks Seahawks to win Super Bowl

SEATTLE -- It's no secret that many a 12th Man are confident that the Seahawks will not only make it to the Super Bowl, but win it. And now, veteran NFL writer Michael Silver has weighed in and said that he too believes the Seahawks can do it.
At NFL. com, Silver writes: "Coming off a pair of impressive preseason outings, including a 40-10 thrashing of the Denver Broncoslast Saturday in which Seattle scored 33 first-half points, the Seahawks have created a sense of excitement that extends well beyond the Pacific Northwest. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I, too, have come down with a case of Seahawks Fever -- at least to the point where I'm picking them to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XLVIII next February at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J."
Given that Silver has made Super Bowl picks that are more accurate than most, his prediction should make a number of local fans very, very happy.
