VIDEO: Game postponed after glass-shattering dunk
DENVER -- A Division II men's college basketball game in Denver was postponed Friday night because a player's dunk smashed the backboard.
Metro State's bid to go 20-0 will have to wait. Friday night, a dunk by Trevor Wages of the Colorado School of Mines smashed the backboard, leaving shards of glass all over the court and the rim hanging. There was no backup backboard available, so the game was postponed. It will be resumed on Sunday evening.
The Metro State Roadrunners will be leading 21-16 with 6:44 left in the first half.
