Washington apple exports pick up as ports return to normal

Washington growers had hoped to boost exports with last year's record crop but lost opportunities during the port slowdown.

Kate Woods of the Northwest Horticultural Council tells the Yakima Herald-Republic apple and pear shippers lost $95 million in canceled orders and potential sales.
