Winners of '3-Minute Masterpiece' help kick off SIFF

SEATTLE -- It can take only three minutes for 11 local filmmakers to get their fifteen minutes of fame this weekend as they help kick-off the Seattle International Film Festival.

A laser shooting rabbit, a ruthless fight over the last slice of pizza and a post-apocalyptic Gas Works Park are some of the winners of the "3-Minute Masterpiece" film contest. The movies feature everything from comedies to dramas and the stars range from actors and Legos to claymation creatures.

The "3-Minute Masterpiece" film contest will be screened May 18 at the SIFF Cinema Uptown and the grand prize winner will be announced at that time. For more information on the festival, visit the SIFF website.
