WMW viewer tips lead to 'high-violent' criminal couple hiding at parents' place
FUGITIVES CAPTURED June 22, 2013 -- The Department of Corrections says WMW viewer tips called into Yakima County Crime Stoppers led to the capture of wanted criminal couple, Johnny Axtell and Victoria Peterson. The two were featured Saturday night on FOX 41/KCYU. The tips came in soon after, and the two were quickly tracked down and arrested at Axtell's parents house in Wapato. The DOC, Yakima County Sheriff's Office, and Yakama Tribal police all joined in on the capture. FUGITIVES WANTED IN YAKIMA COUNTY June 21, 2013 -- Just a couple in love -- and on the run! Both Johnny Axtell and his girlfriend, Victoria Peterson, are high-violent offenders wanted by the Department of Corrections for Escape in Yakima County. Both most recently went down for drugs -- Johnny for meth, and his lady for morphine, opium, and heroin. Officers think they're running together, and bouncing back and forth between Wapato and Yakima.
