Woman accused of stealing dog arrives in limo to turn self in
TURNER, Ore. (KPTV) -- A woman accused of stealing a dog over a dispute with a former tenant arrived at the Marion County Jail in a limousine to turn herself in Friday.
Deputies were called to the 5400 block of Sams Place Southeast near Turner on Wednesday regarding a landlord-tenant dispute that had gotten out of control.
Investigators said Rose Mary Skoda-Kempton, also known as Brooke Kempton, had kicked out her tenant, claiming the other woman was being disrespectful.
The tenant, 30-year-old Kate Taylor, moved out the day she was asked to leave and collected her two horses that were being boarded at Kempton's mother's home near Turner, as part of their rental agreement.

At 8 a.m. Tuesday, deputies said Kempton went to Taylor's father's home and claimed Taylor stole two saddles, so she was taking Taylor's dog until she got the saddles back.
Deputy Bennett was able to work with Kempton's attorney who convinced her to turn herself in.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, deputies waiting for Kempton saw a limousine pull into the parking lot in front of the Marion County Court Annex.
Kempton was taken into custody on charges of robbery 3, and theft 1.
The dog Isis is still missing, according to deputies. Isis is a 4-year-old black whippet, weighs 15 pounds, and has a microchip.
Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of Isis the dog should call Marion County Dispatch at 503-588-5032.
