Woman injured after shooting near Light Rail
SEATTLE -- Police are searching for the suspects who opened fire near the Light Rail Monday evening. Officers responded to the 7100 block of MLK Jr. Way South around 5:20 P.M. for reports of shots fired.
Police say two vehicles, a Buick and a black SUV, were stopped in the roadway. A suspect either on the sidewalk or in another vehicle shot at both vehicles. Police later found the Buick with several bullet holes.
A woman standing with a small child on the Light Rail platform was grazed by an unknown flying object. Police believe it was either a bullet fragment or broken glass debris. She was treated and released at the scene by fire department medics. The child was not injured.
Officers searched the scene, but they were not able to find the people in those vehicles. The investigation is on-going.
