Pete Carroll on loss to Rams, officials' calls, trick plays, injuries ... and, of course, Harvin

RENTON -- At his Monday news conference, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll talked about the disappointment of their loss to St. Louis, about the Rams' trick plays that caught the Hawks off-guard and about Seahawks injuries.

He also was asked again about the trade of wide receiver Percy Harvin to the New York Jets and if the fallout of that decision affected the Seahawks in Sunday's game.

Asked why Harvin didn't want to go back into the Dallas game two weeks ago, Carroll smiled, shrugged and said, "He's a Jet."

Carroll said he had recruited Harvin out of high school and thought he could make it work in Seattle. He called Harvin's trade to the Jets a "team decision."
