Report: Sherman says WR Pierre Garcon 'doesn't matter in this league'
WASHINGTON -- Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman put down Washington wide receiver Pierre Garcon after Seattle's 27-17 win Monday night, USA Today reported.
"Pierre doesn't matter in this league," Sherman said, according to the newspaper. When asked to clarify, Sherman said, "I mean exactly what I said."
Garcon was held to two catches for 23 yards Monday night.
When Sherman was asked if Garcon grabbed Sherman's dreadlocks during the game, Sherman reportedly said, "Yeah, Pierre did a few things. When you can't get open, you gotta do whatever you can."
Sherman famously called San Francisco WR Michael Crabtree a “sorry” receiver on national TV after last season’s NFC Championship Game.
