Sounders will play without Evans when they face Real Salt Lake

SEATTLE — Seattle Sounders defender Brad Evans will miss Saturday’s game against Real Salt Lake due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the team’s MLS opener against Sporting KC.

Head coach Sigi Schmid revealed the news Wednesday at Sounders practice and said that defender Zach Scott will likely fill in.

Evans' status is week-to-week.
