Appeals court overturns ruling against Value Village

A Washington state appeals court has overturned a 2019 ruling that found Bellevue-headquartered thrift chain TVI Inc., which operates Value Village and Savers, had misled customers by deceptively marketing itself as a charity.

State Patrol is investigating several brush fires that happened in Thurston County. Troopers say six of them happened along I-5 and three others were along state Route 101. Troopers say it appears that the fires were intentionally set.
