Seattle weather: Showers return this weekend into the start of next week

High pressure is breaking down and that will open the door for the next system to push into Western Washington, delivering light to moderate showers this weekend. Highs will remain near average and slightly warmer through next week, too.

Western Washington will still have mid to high level clouds overhead all day, ahead of our next wet system hitting early Saturday morning.

Two dry and cloudy days ahead to end the work week

The net two days will be dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine as a weak ridge of high pressure moves into the area.

High pressure will keep the rain away until late Friday night into early Saturday as the next front moves onshore. This system will become widespread by 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Showers will decrease as we move through the day.
