Car Wash Crooks: She stays in the car; he gets out -- with a power tool
WANTED IN SEATTLE -- Seattle police are hoping you can help them identify a couple of car wash crooks who thought they were being super-sneaky – but didn't know they were caught on camera. Retired Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound takes us through the car wash caper. “The suspect vehicle is a white Jeep. It pulls in and has no license plate. It has a temporary permit in the rear window. It's being driven by what appears to be a white female. She pulls up. A second suspect, a white male, gets out of the vehicle, and actually, they park the vehicle so it's blocking the view from anybody else going in the car wash. All of a sudden, you see where he's taking a drill, and he's drilling the coin machine right off the wall, and he take the whole thing, gets in the vehicle, and they exit.”
The woman stayed in the Jeep the whole time, but the camera snapped a decent shot of her. Both are white.
The guy had a goatee, was wearing that distinctive sleeveless white t-shirt with a U.S.A. emblem on the front, and was smoking cigarettes while he committed his car wash coin machine crime.
