Caught on Camera: Robber with gun vs. clerk with bat

am.pmWANTED IN SEATTLE -- A convenience store clerk cleaning up for the night was caught off-guard by a masked armed robber. Cameras were rolling for it all at the am/pm store on East Marginal Way in south Seattle. The worker was peacefully vacuuming the store -- until chaos came walking in the door -- a robber with his gun drawn and demanding cash from the register. The clerk goes behind the counter, takes out the till and lets the robber swipe a handful of bills -- but then the clerk pulls it away -- and the robber bolts! Why? The clerk pulls out a baseball bat hidden behind the counter and chases the crook outside. The robber's well-disguised for sure. But, with that crazy a story to tell, detectives say he likely couldn't keep his mouth shut. "You know, having been in this business a long time, I know for a fact that this guy's probably not being quiet about it," said retired Seattle police detective Myrle Carner. "He's bound to have told somebody. Somebody watching this show tonight probably talked to him. We need to talk to you. You can earn that anonymous cash reward. Just give us a call." This all went down on Dec. 30. Maybe the dark coat he was wearing with a white stripe across the chest is something you recognize about this guy.
