Frustrated restaurant burglar: Struggle to break open cash register -- and his face -- caught on camera

WANTED IN SEATTLE -- A frustrated burglar caught on camera trying to break open a Seattle restaurant’s cash register shows how determined he was – struggling to get into it after he broke into a Chinese restaurant on University Place Way N. Take a good look at the two images of him. He's got his head covered with a hoodie but you can see his face on the infrared surveillance camera.

"He tries to break into the cash register. He's very frustrated,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “He leaves for a time, he goes to the back of the restaurant, picks up tools. He comes back and he's trying to pry it open, he's trying to cut it open. Finally out of frustration, he slams it on the counter until it opens, then he removes all the cash. This is a commercial burglary, a felony that somebody watching it knows who he is and they need to call Crime Stoppers." At one point on the video, he bends down and picks up a safe that he puts on the counter. After he was done bashing open the cash drawer, he picked the safe and carried out the door.
