Karl Redmond: 'Red' accused of purse-snatching at BBQ
WANTED IN SEATTLE -- Blindsided at a BBQ -- a woman never expected a violent purse-snatching to be part of the party. But, Seattle police say wanted felon, Karl Redmond, who goes by ‘Red’ -- was there for much more than just burgers. “The suspect in this case attacked the female victim who happened to have several thousand dollars on her person to buy a car," says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. "He somehow found out about the cash, and he attacks the individual, grabs her purse by force, and flees the scene. Now, what I want to share with you is, this is not just some guy who's going to a neighborhood BBQ. This guy has a ton on his personal record. Look at some of the felonies here: DV, criminal impersonation, forgery, harassment, assault, theft, escape -- it goes on and on and on, and that's just the felonies. He has a ton of misdemeanors too. This is a guy you don't want at your BBQ.” Karl ‘Red’ Redmond is 44 years old.
