Seattle Street Robbers: Can you ID crooks' custom-painted getaway ride for police?
WANTED IN SEATTLE -- A man and his wife robbed at gunpoint as they walked along Beacon Ave. S, headed back to their apartment in Seattle. Seattle detectives have a new clue to help you identify the two men who ripped them off, and their getaway driver – it’s a photo of the getaway car -- a 4-door Dodge Magnum SW. The images were captured on the surveillance camera of a business near where the couple was robbed. Detectives want to know who drives it. On May 20th, detectives say the victims were walking home when two black men robbed them at gunpoint. They stole the man's wallet and a gold chain around his neck, then ran to the car where a third suspect was driving. “What's distinctive is that it has a purple top and the hood in the front is also purple, and then it has white colored sides so it's very distinctive,” says Ret. Det.
