CENTRALIA -- As flooding continued along the coast, a few cities further inland were seeing extensive water damage, too.

High water and torrential rains sparked flooding in Centralia Monday morning, closing many streets and damaging businesses. Flooding is such a problem, Centralia activated it's Emergency Operations Center due to high water in the downtown area.

The following roads were closed in the city as of 12:15 p.m.:

Sandbags are available for homeowners seeing damage, officials said. They can be picked up in the 100 block of West Center Street.

Drivers were encouraged to go slow through standing water on the streets. Also, they were reminded that wake from vehicles could increase damage to already flooded homes.
