Seattle weather: isolated thunderstorms to end Sunday

Today:
Today brought cooler and cloudier conditions across Western Washington, with temperatures dropping into the low to mid 70s. A few showers and thunderstorms were possible, even across the lowlands, and we had some thunder reported in parts of the region earlier this morning. The chance of a severe storm was tiny, with the greatest — though still minimal — potential in the North Cascades and North Sound.
The bigger concern was across Central and Eastern Washington, where very high fire danger was expected. A combination of lightning and blustery winds could spark new fires and help existing fires to spread quickly. A Red Flag Warning was in effect for portions of the region.

Air quality remained mostly good to moderate, although some communities near the Cascades could see periods of unhealthy air for sensitive groups.
Tomorrow:
Sunday will start with morning clouds and a couple of showers, followed by increasing sunshine through the afternoon. Conditions will turn drier and brighter as the day progresses. There's a small chance of a thunderstorm in the North Sound early in the day, but there's a better chance of plain old rain.

Monday and beyond:
Monday will bring another round of morning clouds followed by afternoon sunshine, setting up a beautiful stretch of weather. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week, with highs climbing into the low to mid 80s.
From there, dry weather will continue through the upcoming work week, with plenty of sunshine and generally warm, pleasant conditions.
