TACOMA, Wash. - A 2-year-old child was taken to the hospital after a shooting this week in Tacoma, police said.
What we know:
Police responded to reports of shots fired with possible injury near 2300 South and 96th Street before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
According to investigators, a 2-year-old child was involved and taken to the hospital. The child was stable, as of Wednesday evening.
Police located the suspects in the area of Center and Union, and two people were arrested.
The suspect is facing charges for assault and the other for rendering criminal conspiracy.
The investigation remains ongoing.
