3 detained after disturbance at Bethel High School
SPANAWAY, Wash. - Three people were detained Friday afternoon after a disturbance at Bethel High School in Spanaway, deputies said.
Sgt. Darren Moss with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said a former student went to the campus with a firearm.
As deputies responded, the former student was chased off school grounds into a nearby neighborhood.
Deputies located him and detained him, along with two current students that were with him.
Moss said the two other students were causing a disturbance at the school.
There was no shooting and no one was hurt.
There was a lockdown at the school, but it has been lifted, and the campus is on a modified lockdown, Moss said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
