Stolen dog, pickup truck returned to Buckley home; package theft suspects still at large
BUCKLEY, Wash. - Buckley Police say a pickup truck stolen from a home—with the family dog ‘Luke’ still inside—has been returned.
Police detectives say coverage from FOX 13 likely prompted the suspects to return the dog and truck. Authorities are still looking for the suspected package thieves.
The truck and Luke were stolen Monday from the parking lot of Northwest Fitness Gym in a Buckley. Several hours later, the truck was seen on camera in Bonney Lake with the license plate removed. The suspects were using it to follow Fed-Ex and Amazon trucks around to steal packages. The camera didn’t activate in time to get the female suspect’s face, but you can see she has dark purple hair.
The suspects were later seen transferring packages into a stolen gray truck.
King County detectives said Jan. 12 that the truck had been found on 268th Ave SE and the dog was found alive. No arrests have been made.
