Cascade Mall shooting: Suspect in custody

OAK HARBOR, Wash. – The gunman wanted for killing five people Friday evening in Burlington’s Cascade Mall is in custody, according to Washington State Patrol.

A law enforcement source confirmed to Q13 FOX News that 20-year-old Arcan Cetin was arrested in Oak Harbor almost 24-hours after a shooting inside the Macy's killed four women and a man.

According to Cetin's Facebook page, he went to Oak Harbor High School, formerly worked as a bagger at Whidbey Island Commissary and still lives in Oak Harbor, Washington. It also states he is from Adana, Turkey and he is single.

Cetin recently had his 20th birthday on August, 20.

The arrest

Island County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Cetin shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday as he was walking down the street.

The arresting deputies described Cetin as "kind of zombie-like."

Cetin did not have a gun at the time of the arrest.

A gunman opened fire at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, Friday evening, killing four females and a male before fleeing. Law enforcement staged a massive search over more than 20 hours for the suspect, initially described by witnesses as a young Hispanic male wearing black.

Authorities had said that a rifle had been found at the scene.

The motive was unknown for the shooting about 60 miles (97 kilometers) north of Seattle. The FBI was assisting local authorities, but it said there was no evidence to point to terrorism.

Oak Harbor is 28 miles away from Burlington.

Tipster recognized Cascade Mall shooting suspect

A Washington man says he recognized the Cascade Mall shooting suspect from surveillance photos Saturday as a man who worked out at his gym in Oak Harbor.

“I just said to myself, that it looked like a guy that was at the gym,” Michael Wilson told Q13 FOX News. “Ya know, the same mannerisms, the same body structure type, same facial features. It just looked identical to him.”

Wilson said he struggled with whether to call authorities but then decided to call when he couldn't ignore a nagging feeling in his gut.
