LA fires: Clippers owner Steve Ballmer donates $15M to relief efforts
LOS ANGELES - One of the wealthiest men in America has donated millions of dollars to help those affected by the vicious fires that left parts of Los Angeles County in ruins as thousands of families begin the road to recovery.
Steve and Connie Ballmer, on behalf of the Ballmer Group, announced they are donating $15 million in emergency funding, "particularly in the historic, racially diverse community of Altadena."

"We love L.A. and are committed to supporting the communities affected by the devastating wildfires. In coordination with our local partners, Ballmer Group will contribute to addressing immediate food and shelter needs in the community and supporting our first responders," they said in a statement.

Steve Ballmer owns the Los Angeles Clippers and is the former CEO of Microsoft. In 2024, Forbes ranked him as the eighth-richest person in America with a net worth of $123 billion.
He is also the owner of the Intuit Dome and the venue will host the FireAid benefit concert. Some artists set to perform are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lil Baby, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Tate McRae, Earth Winds & Fire and Lady Gaga.
