KENT -- A family got a rude awakening Thursday when a hit-and-run driver crashed a pickup truck right into their living room.

Luckily nobody was hurt, but the driver sped off and is still on the loose.

“I think we’ve had more fun with this than we’ve actually been sorrow with it,” said homeowner Renne Keller.

Keller is trying to keep smiling after her home was torn to pieces.

“You hear this big boom and the house shook and then all you heard was a bunch of glass,” Keller said.

Someone plowed their truck into her living room and mowed down an entire wall.

“He was in shock," Keller said of the driver. “Even when he was looking at us backing up, he was like, 'Oh, my God.'”

But he didn’t just back up, Keller says he backed out of the house and took off down the road. Keller says the driver was in a yellow or gold Ford pickup, but that’s about all she remembers.

Keller’s birds are finally calming down after the ruckus -- and her pooch is still a little skittish.

“They were traumatized because a lot of the glass and stuff went into them,” said Keller.

Neighbor Debbie Combs is thankful everyone made it out without a scratch.

“Is everybody OK, was the first thing out of my mouth,” said Combs.

The damage is estimated to be around $42,000 according to Keller, but that number doesn't account for her trashed belongings.

The hole is now boarded up and now Keller is considering different seating arrangements when the repairs are done.

“Did I move things away from the front window this time? Yes I will,” said Keller. “I won’t be facing the front window to see the guy coming at me.”
