Cluster of tremors felt near Snoqualmie, WA after 3.5 magnitude earthquake

Seismologists have counted nine earthquakes in the Washington Cascades, in addition to the 3.5-magnitude event that happened near North Bend on Monday.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) recorded a 3.5-magnitude earthquake about four miles northeast of Fall City at around 1:35 p.m. Monday. The quake was reported at a depth of about 10 miles. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), 1,290 people felt it.

The next day, the PNSN tallied a total of nine smaller earthquakes happening in the same general region.

What we don't know:

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

While there are many variables involved, geologists say damage does not usually occur until the earthquake magnitude reaches somewhere above 4 or 5.
