SEATTLE – Alaska Airlines is raising its fees.

Starting October 30, the Seattle-based carrier will start charging passengers $25 for their first and second checked bag. That is $5 from the current rate. Additional bags will cost $75.

Changing a ticket will also cost passengers more. Right now it costs $75-$100, but starting in October it will cost $125. However, it is still free if the changes are made 60 days prior to ticketed flight departure.
