Local H.S. honors vets with replica of Arlington National Cemetery

LAKEWOOD -- In honor of Memorial Day, students at Clover Park High School in Lakewood will honor soldiers with a replica of Arlington National Cemetery.

The students will begin setting up markers on the high school's front lawn Monday morning.

It's the 7th year of the project which is designed to honor soldiers who have died in conflicts.

In addition to the marker display, there will be a student exhibition commemorating the losses from all the nation's wars and major conflicts. As part of this event, the Clover Park High School students will share with the public the many ways that people can help veterans through organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.

The replica will be on display at the school all week.
